JOB OVERVIEW:
Our Creator team are the engine behind our creative, unique and diverse creator community and support in the growth of a local and rich content ecosystem which you see on The organisation.
The team focuses on finding and supporting diverse and talented creators who want to showcase their talent, insight, perspective and ideas on The organisation. We then focus on how we can partner, onboard, retain and grow these creators and stimulate the communities. A love for creators and the local content ecosystem is a must, and the development of strategies and taking ownership of existing and new communities is key to succeeding in this role. Your focus would spread from entertainment to education and focus on supporting creators and content in those spaces to thrive and grow on The organisation. Working on building the entertainment space and finding and nurturing new content spaces like education on The organisation.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Use data and platform tools to identify, recruit, and onboard high potential Creators to The organisation.
- Foster strong relationships with, and grow a portfolio of high potential The organisation Creators.
- Establish resources and educate Creators on best practices, help solve technical issues, and optimize overall performance.
- Develop customized and localized content strategies to support the growth of the creator and content ecosystem.
- Track, analyze, report back on the performance and growth of creators and campaigns.
- Build community strategies and manage and optimize community development efforts and focus categories pipeline on The organisation.
- Lead projects and manage events/programs to support the Creator ecosystem, including working with cross-functional teams to assist with planning, coordination, and execution of campaigns and activations from both global and local content perspectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in technology/social media/digital media/content production field; \
- – High-level understanding of South African popular culture (entertainment, music, trends, media) and the local digital media landscape and social platforms;
- – Experience working with content creators, developing communities across key verticals including focus categores; – Existing relationships with both a network of top content creators/ influencers, and content partners to lead them towards partnership and growth in the space;
- – Passionate about the incubation and expansion of local content, and content creators; – Interested in finding niche talent/content and growing them from the beginning; – Able to work across multiple genres of content;
- – The ability to facilitate trainings and workshops to help creators and partners; – Experience with cross-functional communication and stakeholder management; – Good attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, and time management skills;
- – Able to work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment, with good communication skills;
- – Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive work-style;
- – Experience working independently and as part of a team
